If you’re looking for a great looking and solid assist e-bike, this is it. My wife is thrilled with it. She still gets the exercise without the pain created from pumping hard up hills. And the slightly larger gum wall tires I put in it make it better on gravel roads as well as add to the already cosmetically beautiful look.
I will say shipping was a bit frustrating. Not because it took a couple months, but because I was strung along by being told it was being shipped by one date and then another and another. So Story Bicycles really needs to just be honest in that area.
But overall the staff is nice, communication was happening and the bike is awesome.

Love my new helmet in white. It’s stylish, comfortable and fits just perfectly. I have a long head and it easily adjusted for a snug fit.

While the wait for my Story Bike was longer than I had anticipated, my first ride reassured ne that Story Bike was the bike I needed! Understanding the application of the brakes, changing the gears… both were smoother and easier than I anticipated. My maiden ride was relaxing… once I was ‘in the saddle and enjoying the sites!

I’m 70 and was very anxious waiting for my electric bike. No worries…everything was easy to assemble and easy to navigate. I ride every day!

After delays due to shortage of chips in this country, my Story Bike finally arrived . It was worth the wait! Wow…I can’t say enough about this electric bike. It is exactly as described and so easy to handle. Matt himself helped me with the one problem I had in assembly. (I believe he is the owner/founder of the company.) I am 5’1” and after removing the reflector on the seat shaft, it went down low enough for me. It rides like a dream! I complete my 4 mile neighborhood loop in under 15 minutes. I now ready to take it out on our 17 mile Breakwater Trail in Rehoboth Beach, DE. Maybe I’ll run into President Biden!

I bought my first Story bike for my wife in late 2020. When my Van Moof (which I loved) became unrepairable, in 2023, I purchased a Story bike for myself. On a couple of occasions in 2020-2021 I contacted Story. There was a piece missing from the kit I received in November 2020 (I might just have lost it myself). Story shipped it out immediately so that I could finish the assembly. More recently, due to damage caused to my 2023 bike by a friend I loaned it to, I had to obtain a new gear shifter. Although Story did not come through with that, I was able to get it directly from the manufacturer. Today, July 13, Saturday, I left a chat message about replacing the band that affixed the LCD display to my handlebar. I did not expect to get a response til Monday, but Travis came through immediately and is now expediting the shipment of the needed part. I recommend Story to all my bike-buying friends.

It’s been 3 years and 1,300 miles since I purchased my step through model Story Bikes e-bike. My opinion has not changed, this is by far the best looking and most fun e-bike out there. Classic styling, light weight and very easy to ride. I call it my stealth e-bike because it doesn’t scream, “I’m riding an e-bike!”.

I’ve ridden trails all over Ohio (paved and unpaved) and have also made two trips to The Great Allegheny Passage Trail in Pennsylvania. The bike’s performance is as good as the day I received it. The pedal assist means I can keep pace with stronger riders and ride on more trails because hills and long grades are no longer an obstacle.

To those of you who are apprehensive about purchasing a bike without being able to ride it first, I get that. I was apprehensive too! It took me over a year to finally decide to purchase. So glad I took a leap of faith and bought mine. One of the best purchases I’ve ever made.

Thanks for sending new LCD screen all the screens function as should and can adjust my speed limit now. Much better peddling over 15mph now. Much easier, much more fun!
